Harris to Announce Vice-President Selection in Philadelphia
Increases Odds that Shapiro Will Be Selected
Reports indicate that VP Harris will announce her selection of Vice-President in Philadelphia on Tuesday. Since it is doubtful Harris will make the announcement in Governor Shapiro’s state and not name him, I would say that the chances that Shapiro will be her choice have increased dramatically. To not name him when she makes her selection announcement there would be a slap in the face, which I doubt she would do.
So, I think the odds favoring Governor Shapiro have increased, and I hope she is not hindered by the antisemitic claims of some pro-Palestinian groups to not select him solely because he is Jewish.
The selection by a Black-Indian woman of a Jewish Vice-President would put the Democratic Party in the mainstream of recognizing bi-racial families and rejection of the antisemitism of some misguided people.
Compare that team to Trump and JD Vance: the racist, misogynist team wanting America to go back in time to the days when Blacks were denied employment and housing and the days when women were told not to pursue a career and stay in the kitchen. America rejected the Trump-Vance view of the world and has adopted comprehensive laws prohibiting what Trump-Vance promote. Childless cat ladies arise, you have nothing to lose organizing and voting for Harris-Shapiro.
And how about the stupidity of Trump going to the Black Journalist’s Convention and using that platform to make vitriolic attacks on Harris’ ethnicity and the mixed racial make-up of her family. Trump’s team ended the interview early which prevented Trump by further sinking in the slime by objecting to Harris marrying a Jewish lawyer. But give the cognitively disoriented Trump the opportunity, and I am sure he would push that line of attack as well.
Fred Trump III’s new book, “All in the Family” about the Trumps and the vile and hateful attitudes taken by some Trump members, and as Fred said to Donald, DJT has made the Trump name toxic. It must be tough being a Trump and having that Gigantic Albatross hung around your neck.
My predictions may be wrong, but I think the announcement of a Harris-Shapiro team will happen next week.
