Trump's Regaining the Presidency is a Sad Day for America
Trump, the Liar in -Chief, organized and fomented a treasonous and violent assault on our Capitol to enable him to undermine our Constitution and prevent the peaceful transfer of power. Trump's attempted coup was seen by all Americans in real time. Trump was then aided and abetted by AG Merrick Garland sitting on his hands rather than indicting Trump and prosecuting him as was John Brown, who led an insurrection before the Civil War and was then hanged. Then our Supreme Court aided and abetted Trump's presidential coup by holding that, despite clear language in the Fourteenth Amendment, Trump could run for re-election.
The media then reported Trump and his sycophants' fictitious narrative claiming that a violent coup was a day of love. And the media continued to report the Trumpian distortion of reality thereby giving it credibility for more gullible Americans and those who desire more power for the right-wing to enable their authoritarian dreams.
Now we will soon see a 34- count convicted felon take the oath of office to regain the presidency to complete his 2021 coup attempt. We have lost our democracy, and we need a guardian angel to restore the rule of law governing all Americans. Such a sad day for America!
