Trump's Hero in the "Silence of the Lambs"

Trump has spoken in many rallies about the great Dr. Hannibal Lecter

Trump has referred to the fictional character Dr. Hannibal Lecter in approving fashion and calling him the great Dr. Lecter. So, I was beginning to wonder if I was missing something or whether there was some aspect of Dr. Lecter, the fictional character I did not understand.

So, last night I watched the film “Silence of the Lambs” starring Jodie Foster as the young FBI Agent trainee, and Anthony Hopkins played the role of Trump’s hero: Dr. Lecter. Jonathan Demme is the Director.

I can only conclude that Trump does not understand the movie or he never watched it but relies on what JD Vance and Jim Jordan have told him about it.

So I watched the whole film, and here is what it told about Trump’s hero, Dr. Lecter: he is a psychopath, serial killer who specializes in capturing young women and then slicing off their skin, tortures them and then kills them and eats their flesh and some internal organs. If provoked by police officers, he will sink his teeth into their face and tear at their flesh like an animal. He has no limits to the hideous acts he will perform.

But he is intelligent, in a strange way, at least to permit him to escape the custody of common mortals. Despite all the bars and prison precautions, he succeeds in escaping by eating his way out of a difficult situation, and I hope you understand what he eats to get his freedom.

So, this is the Great Dr. Hannibal Lecter who Trump keeps adoring in his campaign rallies.

Perhaps some corporate media people should watch the film to get a deeper understanding of the GOP candidate for president: Donald J. Trump.
